Hello,

A friend of mine installed my pc with Windows Xp
Professional from his office.
Now I have a valid key for xp professional but it doesn't
accept it anymore.
Is there a way to see if I have the professional edition
or the professionel corporate edition?

Thx,
Philippe

Philippe - what you must do is go out and buy a genuine copy of Windows XP
Professional and then do a repair install with your legitimate CD and Key on
your PC.
(Your "valid" key will probably not work because you friend broke his
companies license for their Volume Licensed copies of Windows XP by
installing a Volume Licensed version on your PC - retail and OEM key will
not work. The solution is the method I have explained above.)

Greetings --

Actually, there is no such thing as WinXP "Corporate Edition."
That is a term applied exclusively to pirated (iow, stolen) copies of
the Volume Licensed WinXP Pro by the "warez" aficionados.

You need to purchase and use a legitimate full retail copy of
WinXP Pro to perform a repair (a.k.a. in-place upgrade) installation,
using the new CD and Product Key.
