Friends,
Does anyone know if Microsoft has or will have a fix so
Outlook Express will be able to use spell check in MS
Office? As it stands now the spell check icon is
inactive in new message toolbar and one cannot do spell
check.

Thank You,

Robert

So you're saying you have Office installed but the spellcheck in OE doesn't
work? See link below http://michaelstevenstech.com/spellcheck.htm.

Greetings --

Outlook Express, as you've discovered, has no spell-checking
capabilities of its own. Instead, it relies upon the presence of
other Microsoft applications, such as the Office Suite, Word, or the
Works Suite. There are also some 3rd-party shareware/freeware
solutions available at any of the many shareware sites on the Internet

Spell Magic seems well thought-of, though I haven't tried it myself:

Robert,

This should fix your problem;
Spell Checker - Error Message or Doesn't Function

Start/Run/EXPAND X:\i386\CSAPI3T1.DL_ C:\CSAPI3T1.DLL (Where X is your CD-Rom drive letter). And then copy it to: Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Proof.
