View Full Version : random system restarts on virus-checked system

My system does abrupt restarts even when simply running
the screensaver. They seem more frequent in the evening
than around midday. No error messages appear either
before of after the restart. No event is recorded in the
event log other than the usual restart entries (6009,
6005). Would a complete system restore help with this?

Hi Tom,
From EventID:
Indicates that event log has been started and the revision of Windows that
is in use (after a server restart).
