I reformated my hard drive and replaced W98SE with XP professional. But now before it loads I get a menu to select windows XP or windows, and a 30 second timer before XP loads. If I select Windows, nothing happens. Also, to make this more inconvenient, m
y USB keyboard doesn't let me select so I have to wait out the 30 seconds. How do I get arid of this?

Go to Start/Run and type in: msconfig
Then go to the Boot.ini Tab and click on Check All Boot Paths. If you
receive a warning about a duplicate path: Do you want to remove, choose
yes.
Or...
Right click the My Computer icon/Properties/Advanced/Startup and
Recovery/Settings/System Startup/Edit.
