Wes.....
I don't have 'folders' in toolbar.
Only have file-edit-view-favorites-tools-help-----flag
in the toolbar across the top. Not showing the other
buttons because don't need them in this window.
Where would 'folders' be?

Folders is in the Toolbar you say you don't need. Right click just to the
right of Help/click Standard Buttons. Folders should appear.
If not, right click a blank area of the Toolbar/click Customize/in the left
hand pane about a third of the way down/select it/click the Add button/Close

Hope this helps. Let us know.

ok...folders just adds a sidebar with directories tree
from desktop on down (like start explorer listing).
I have seen a gun-barrel-blue area on left side with
some options under up/down chevrons but not today.

Doing OK Wes. =20
Did you get the 821557 (shortcuts) issue resolved?
On the OP's problem, I had Classic view enabled so hitting folders did =
nothing. When I enabled web view, hitting folders did what you said.

Hi Jeff;
Nah, I decided to wait for the movie to come out. :o) I've been putting up
with replacing the dead shortcut when I backup to CD. 3½ is OK. Doesn't seem
to be that big of a deal. Once a week or so. The KB Article you sent me to
said the fix would be included in SP2. I'll wait.
I have Classic View enabled but have Show Common Tasks enabled also.
Control Panel/Tools/Folder Options/Show Common Tasks in Folders. I like Classic
View with some stuff. But I like that Common Tasks deal. For Pictures folders,
My Computer/Add-Remove Programs, some other stuff I can't think of now.
