View Full Version : Windows setting won't stay "enabled"

I am having a problem with the standard Windows
option "Show window contents while dragging". This is in
the display properties, click on the appearance tab, then
on the "Effects" button.
In short what happens is this. I turn this on (check it)
and it works just fine. However when I log off and later
log back on this setting is no longer checked and moving
windows again function using the outline vs showing the
contents.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi Brett,
As a guess you have a Dell computer? There is a bug in the Dell Media
Experience program that is causing that (see
http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=sw_mediaexp&message.id=194 )
for info.
If you don't have Dell, please give us a little more info about your
system.

Brett,
Go to the URL below and scroll down to "304" and look in the
RIGHT column and download and run it.. That should fix it.

Wow! Thanks so much Fritz! I would have never thought of
that. I'll have to see what else I can find on the Dell
forums regarding this one. I do indeed have DME on my new
Dell.
