Please help me stop the auto links made in text

I am having trouble with XP making automatic links in text that I am preparing for a web page. It's ordinary nouns that somehow become linked and clicking on them takes me to some kind of microsoft search page online. How do I stop these links from formi
ng or displaying? I will be very grateful for any help. thanks.

This sounds like "Smart Links." Check the program's preferences and
options menus and turn them off.
