Is Windows XP eliminate the reporting feature in scan disk that will report
the bad cluster in the harddisk?

Last time, Windows 98, when performing scandisk, include detail scan which
will scan through the entire surface of the hard disk and after scanning,
then a report will be displayed. In that report, it will indicate how many
bytes is in (or effected by) bad cluster.

But the scan disk I use in Windows XP does not display this information.
I want to know whether my hard disk have bad cluster or not, but I cannot
know it by using the Win XP scandisk.

Or at least, can I know that Win XP will store data on a bad cluster or not?
If it does, then my data storing might encounter some level of risk isn't
it?

Thanks for reply.
