View Full Version : Pop up message box at connection

Hi.
When my computer connects to the server, there's a small popup on the bottom
right screen which tells me that I've done it. I'd like to configure the
computer to not do that. Usually I can find references to things in the
help menu, but I'm not sure what this message display is called, first of
all.
I thought it might be in the server connection properties under Options,
"Display progress while connecting", but even with that off, as soon as the
connection is made, the message icon appears to tell me that I'm connected,
and it obscures other information on the task bar.
Can this be removed, and if so how?

Thanks in advance
BW

If you download TweakUI from the PowerToys collection (linked to at
www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone) there is an option to disable
balloon tips.
