Hello!

I have a Pentium 4 2.66MHz PC with 256MB PC2100 DDR RAM. I have been trying
to upgrade my Windows XP Home to Windows XP Professional. The installation
goes through very smoothly, but when the Windows XP Professional attempts to
boot for the first time, an error box pops up that says "Not enough virtual
memory ..." and the PC shuts down and restarts the booting process
automatically. This process keeps on repeating, but the PC never boots
completely with Windows XP Professional! Can anyone help me, please?

Thanks and regards,
SG

Two things SG: 1) Increase your memory to at least 512 and 2) enlarge =
you Swap file.

I know you can't get it to boot regularly but can you get it to boot in =
SAFE MODE .. If so Right-click MY COMPUTER select PROPERTIES | =
ADVANCED | PERFORMANCE SETTINGS | ADVANCED TAB | VIRTUAL MEMORY and =
reset the size of the paging file. (Rule of thumb should be 2 to 2.5 =
times the amount of physical memory) . =20

Thank you all for the help. I made it successfully at last! I created a
Windows XP Pro install CD slipstreaming the XP SP1a and installing with the
newly created CD. It worked!:)

Thanks a million to you all, once again!:)
