Hi Win XP Home
1.4 Ghz
Ge-force 3 graphics

I had a problem starting GP 4 it would freeze just after the initial
play screen. I done a repair but it stayed the same so I then removed the
program and went to clean up any leftover files which were the main folder
containing 2 files "binkw32.dll" and "GP4.exe" Now I tried deleting these
files but it wouldn't let me stating "cannot delete Access is denied. make
sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is currently
not in use". but if I reinstalled the game to the same folder and left these
2 files in, it would still freeze so I reinstalled to a new folder called
"GP4 Reinstall" and now it's running but for how long I don't know. I did a
virus scan on the 2 offending files and no viruses were found but it did
state that "the files do not exist or requires more privileges to access" I
am the administrator on the PC also.
The game had been running alright up to that point and I don't know what
could have caused the 2 files to go buggy. Is it safe to delete these files
within the registry, I know I will probably get a warning so should I go
ahead with the deletion?
