nero makes my cd/dvd drive dissapear??

hi,

i've got a sony laptop, with xp home. i recently installed nero 5, and did
a restart. after this, my cd/dvd rewriter drive dissapeared!! theres no dvd
drive in the explorer window.

how can i get this back?

i aint got easy cd recorder. and i aint removing anything, i'm installing
nero.
i havent tried this because i dont want to install the rest of the programs.
also i dont want to mess the registries up.

Did same thng a few months back. Details are foggy. Do remember I had to
uninstall Nero. Disable UDF writing format in XP. Then install Nero for
Nero to work.
