Issue: When I open Windows Explorer, I cannot get it to
open Maximized.
I have tried:
Tools/Folder Options/View.... Apply to All Folders
Doesn't work.
I have tried 'stretching' the Window to it's maximized
state and closing it.... doesn't work.
Is there another way in WINXP to accomplish this?
Thank you,
Michael A

This is by design. Drag the window to almost full-screen size with the
mouse, press CTRL while you close it to force Windows to save the new
window size.

Try this: Delete the Registry keys
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell \Bags and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell \BagMRU, both with
all the subentries, then create new keys "BagMRU" and "Bags" here. At
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell NoRoam create a new
DWORD entry
BagMRU Size
and set this to
5000 (decimal)
Restart the computer. Retry now.
