We have new XP, but can not get the Outlook Express spelling feature listed
under Tools to work. Spell check works fine with "Wordperfect Office 11".
Anybody know how to fix this? Thanks.

OE spellcheck requires an installed compatible word processor. Word or
Works. WordPerfect, (which I have also) won't do.
The spell checker here http://www.geocities.com/vampirefo/ works very well
with Outlook Express. I've been using it for some time. It's a freeware
add-on.

Greetings --
Outlook Express, as you're apparently just discovering, has never
had any spell-checking capabilities of its own. Instead, it relies
upon the presence of certain specific other Microsoft applications,
such as the Office Suite, Word, or the Works _Suite_ (which includes
Word, not the regular Works). There are also some 3rd-party
shareware/freeware solutions available at any of the many shareware
sites on the Internet
Spell Magic seems well thought-of, though I haven't tried it myself:
