Unallocated space

After a clean install I am getting a low disk space
warning.Free space is 81mb primary partition is 1.46GB
and unallocated 35.80GB.Do I need to access this
unallocated space and if so how so?

What you really need is a partition-manager type program to enlarge the
installation partition. I recomment PartitionMagic, but there are others.
Or, repeat the clean install and create a larger partition before installing
XP.
