xp pro not reading floppies

I have XP Pro and it won't read any floppy, apparently
this is a common problem and I need to fix it ASAP.

First thing I would check is that the drive was dirty. Some dirt got into
mine and trashed all the floppies I tried to get it to read. I popped the
top wiped it out and it worked just fine. AIR and cleaning disks did not
work, there was a little dust all stuck on the pickuparm.
