Print Screen does not send screen shots to a file; they are stored in memory
(the clipboard) until you paste them into something such as a document or
picture. For example once you take a screen shot you can open Paint and
select Edit and Paste. Then you can save it as a file on your disk. Only one
item can be stored in the clipboard at at time, and the contents are lost
when the PC is shut down.

The screen dump will be stored in your computer's memory (=clipboard).
Open your favorite image editing program, or MS Paint, and hit CTRL+V
to paste the contents of the clipboard into the image editing program.
Save image.

To get a listing of an entire directory, or your whole harddrive,
there's a more elegant solution. Download TreePrint from
<http://www.filelibrary.com:8080/cgi-bin/freedownload/Multi-Platform/n
/105/treeprt.zip> , install, and it will save or print the contents of
directories as Notepad file.
