.jpg files versux , wps files

I have a new computer with Windows XP Home. My previous
computer had Windows 98. We transferred "My Documents" to
the new computer, and several are now in .wps format, and
I can't open them. Can you tell me how to convert them
to .jpg?

..wps is MS Works text document, not a picture. They should open in
Word.
