Working with a Scanned Document

I just got my new Dell computer. I received a
printer/scanner. I need to scan a document
into a program than will allow me to insert
information withing a spreadsheet with
rows and collums.

I have never used a scanner and need assistance.

If you scan in the document you will get a picture file at first. To
convert this into a text document you need an OCR software. Most
scanners come with a plain tool of this kind, so you may want to check
if you have the software and consult the manul and online help for
detail about how o use it.
