MODIFY A USER NAME

IS there a way to change a username in xp home without
creating a new user IE:

change user name "andy" to "brian" ?? without modifing the
profile??

Rename it via Control Panel, User Accounts? The changes will be =
reflected in Welcome Screen, Start Menu. The %userprofile% path is not =
affected anyway.
