Can Someone help....

My Outloook Express is automatically removing attatchments.

A message stating "OE removed access to the following unsafe attatchments"
appears in the box avove the "from, sent, to " box.

I have Norton antivirus software and Zone Alarm freeware firewall software
installed on my PC.

Thanks,

Gerry

As you are using OE for your newsreader, you could have searched for some of
the THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of posts on this.

Go to Tools-Options-Security.

A Google search on "unsafe attachments" provides about *90,000* hits.

Also do NOT post in newsgroups with your email address in clear. You will
now get lots of spam.

You are not describing that which you read.

It is NOT removing the attachments. It is removing "access to" the
attachments. This is done to try to prevent knuckle heads from infecting
their system with all sorts of unwanted visitors.

Those people who are intelligent enough to know what to open, and what not
to open, are also intelligent enough to look in the options section of the
program they are having issues with!
