Do you want it to shut down after being idle a certain amount of time, like
a screen saver would normally act, or no matter what is happening on the
computer it should shut down after say 10 minutes?

Schedule the unit to shutdown using the shutdown.exe. Windows XP has a
command-line utility called shutdown.exe. for exact parameters, open a
MS-DOS box and type "Shutdown /?"
Related Tip:
Visit www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm if you want to download the
Shutdown utility (different from that of XP) which supports power management
feature.
