When using this, does it make a back-up copy of the
registry?I am looking to do this as I need a copy incase
anything goes wrong while I attempt to remove spykiller
from my computer

A better option might be to create a restore point using System Restore.
Then if something goes wrong you can just revert to your earlier restore
point and start over. You'll find this under Start -> All Programs ->
Accessories -> System Tools. System Restore has saved me more times than I
can count :)
