Start ... Help and Support and type in Welcome Screen in to the
search box at the top.
This will provide a link to the precise instructions you require.

The built in Help and Support can answer may new user questions. You may

go to control panel, then click on user account, then change the way users log on or log off, select or deselect user welcome screen

Hi Kenny,

Are you trying to make Windows XP automatically login? or just want to =
eliminate Welcome Screen?. In the latter case, you will see the Classic =
Logon dialog if the Welcome Screen in disabled. If you want to make XP =
automatically login, try this:

Click Start, Run and type "control userpasswords2", and click Ok. =
Uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" =
option, and click Ok.=20
