KaZaA is and ad intensive program and must have the ad
modules active for it to work, unless you buy the premium
program. AdAware is a good adware\spyware remover although
in my opinion SpyBot Search and Destroy is more effective.
When you choose to remove the adware in KaZaA you disable
it and therefore it won't work any more. Once you have
removed the adware modules removing the whole KaZaA
application becomes a royal pain and that's by design.
It's supposed to teach you not to mess with their program
but in fact teaches you to get rid of such crap as KaZaA
and get other better free programs that have no adware in
them like Win MX. You will now need to go into your
registry to dig out the garbage and remove all traces of
it. go>start\run and type in regedit and hit ok. Now click
edit at the top and then find and type in Kazaa and hit
enter. Any folders on the left you can right click on and
delete any entries on the right you can do the same. Then
click edit and then find next. You may have to do this
many times as KaZaA is very invasive. Do this until a
little screen comes up informing you that it is done
searching the registry. Good luck.
