Go into your windows\system32 file and right click on
catroot2 and click rename and rename it to catroot2a and
then try it. This will force windows to do a full system
scan for missing updates and not just the root catalogue.
Once you have been successful you can then go back into
the system32 file and delete the catroot2a as XP will have
created a new catroot2. Good luck.
