View Full Version : Faxing with DSL

My PC uses a Verizon DSL line for the internet and e-mail
instead of my dial up modem. I just installed XP's faxing
service, but it tells me there's no dial tone when I try to
send a fax. Other than disconnecting my DSL modem and
re-connecting the old dial up modem, is there a way to send
and receive faxes under DSL?

This was asked and answered the last two times you posted this exact
same (word for word) post. I suggest you read responses to your posts
instead of continuing your whine.

Bottom line is that you can't use your broadband modem to fax. You
can send a fax through an on-line service like efax and the like, but
if you want to fax from your machine you'll need a fax-modem with a
connection to your phone line.

So connect a phone line to your modem. It'll find a dial tone then.
