Viewing font properties

I'm trying to find how to view font properties so I can
forward them to someone without a particular font on
their computer

Fonts are stored in c:\windows\fonts. However, fonts are NOT all free, so
you can't just give them away unless you know that you have a license to do
so. There are plenty of places to get free fonts on the web (just google the
phrease "free fonts").
