Taskbar & Desktop Icons lost.

In Win XP, Occasionnaly my Taskbar disappears and when I minimize all my
windows I notice all the desktop icons have disappeared though my wall
paper remains. Afterwhich I dont know how to access/expore my programs
(via Start Program) otherthan those windows which were already opened
and thats only thru 'Task Manager via Ctrl,Alt+Del.

The remedy seems to be log off and the log back on... Is ther an
alternative i.e Thru Taask Manager etc

Hi,

When it happens, hit ctrl+alt+delete or ctrl+shift+escape. On the
applications tab, click on "new task". Enter explorer.exe and click "ok".
Sounds like something is halting the explorer shell. You may want to run
some checks for spy and ad programs, and make sure antivirus software is up
to date.
