Help. What do you do when the thing that doesnt work is
the help and support?. When I click on it it just loads
the border of the window and then freezes. It's a brand
new computer.

If the above repair does not work:
Go to Start > Run and type in: helpctr -regserver
To reinstall Help and Support:
Go to C:\Windows\inf\pchealth.inf.
Right-click and choose install. Have your XP CD available.
Note: The folder is hidden by default. Go to Start > Run and type in:
control folders. View: Show hidden files and folders and uncheck
"Hide extensions for known file types".

Guess I'll have to reinstall, the other repair didn't
work. Thanks for the help.

....and this kinda leaves some of us hanging. When I tried that, my
pooter yapped something to the effect that "helpctr -regserver" was
available to WinXP Pro users, not us po' folks using XP Home...
