restore index when it got lost

Hello folks,

I have a few .wmv files that can be properly fewed but I can not import them
into moviemaker because it says that there is an index missing in the file.

can this index of a .wmv be somehow restored?

Yes, you can re-index the files... See the Importing Source Files > Video >
WMV page of my site.
