I can sen attachments to "everyone else in the world"
except my son! I use Outlook and my son uses Outlook
Express. He worked with "experts" on his end without
success. Then one of them said to try sending himself an
email with a picture attachment and he got it! So then I
closed Outlook down and brought up Outlook Express and lo
and behold, he got both the txt and jpg I sent as
attachments to my email message! So I try it with
Outlook again and no go!!!!

We both use Norton Internet Security and we're both using
XP on fairly decent PCs.

Does anyone have an idea as to how to fix it so that I
can use Outlook for him along with the rest of the world?

Hi Bob,

In Outlook, are you embedding the images in the e-mail (using html =
format) or attaching them? Try the latter rather than the former. =
(instead of insert->picture->from file, use insert->insert file).

Don't use Outlook's RTF format when sending an attachment. Nothing can but
Outlook or another Exchange Program. OE cannot understand that and can't
find the attachment. Use Plain Text or HTML format, preferably plain text..

I personally dont use norton internet security but it could be screening
certain file types.
Is it possible to send other types of files to your son such as .bmp or .doc
files ???
Also if you are familiar with winzip you could try sending him a zip file
with the jpg image inside. This would only be a quick get around but wouldnt
fix the problem.

Hey, man! Thanks a lot. Too bad MS doesn't tell you
that in the Help section of IE.
