I have two XP computers. One computer is trouble-free and set with Windows
XP autoupdate.

The 2nd computer has a problem with Windows security update "KB826939".
Whenever I update with KB826939, the computer crashes. It happened two
months ago and again yesterday. So I must re-configure to System Restore
to days before. (No crashes with the first computer with KB826939).

My question is why this Hotfix causes crashes. I am wondering what's in
Hotfix KB826939. I am very curious about this. Could someone explain to
me? Satoshi

To get information on a knowledge base (KB) document, go to
http://support.microsoft.com/ click on the Search the Knowledge Base
link, in the "Search for" field enter the KB article number - in this
case that would be 826939. Select the radio button for Article ID and
click the Go button.
