Maybe, maybe not. Sometimes the mobo makers fall behind via in terms of
the hyperion drivers. Check version numbers, I suppose.

As a follow-up, I thought you would like to know that this worked. I
installed XP and the VIA Hyperion drivers last night, and it's been
running smooth ever since. No hint of the previous problem with the
freeze-ups.
