View Full Version : Default Print Margins Overridden

Some application or process is overrding my IE6 default print margins. My
OS is WinXP. According to my registry, the IE6 margin defaults are .75
inches in each of the four directions. However, according to IE6's page
setup the defaults are .25 right and left and .166 top and bottom. Changing
the defaults in page setup does not work: the defaults immediately revert
back to .25 and .166. I can change the margins one print job at a time by
using print preview. I have searched my registry for .25 and .166 but found
nothing. I have uninstalled and then reinstalled IE6. I have uninstalled
or disabled my pop-up stopper, Roboforms and Anti-Virus program
to no avail. For some reason the culprit also seems to impact HTML printing
(but not text printing) in Outlook 2000 as well but not in other browsers,
such as Opera, Netscape and Mozilla. I have two HP printers, a 1200
Laserjet and 2175 PSC. My repeated contacts with HP tech support has not
produced any solutions. In fact they say the software vendor (Microsoft)
should be contacted. I have posted this problem numerous times, but no one
seems to have the answer. If anyone can help me figure out a solution, I
would be greatly obliged.
