Just plugged in XP with service pack 1. My PS2 mouse *never* works!

Logitech C series with wheel. According to the docs, this should work
on the PS2 port. Mouse is good! Port is good! Exact same config
works on Red Hat 9. According to RH, the PS2 is sitting at IRQ 12.

In XP, there simply isn't any option for the mouse. Tried installing
the latest drivers from Logitech. Tried wiping the HD and re-installing
XP.... No joy yet! Not interested in purchasing a new mouse.

This is ridiculous! It's a damn mouse! How hard can it be???

HW Details:
Intel MB D845GEBV2
NVidia AGP graphics

Everything else works fine except for the mouse. I can hot-key around
XP but this isn't much fun with out a mouse!

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

TS

RH isn't XP. What does XP say for the PS2 port?

XP doesn't say anything for the ps2 port! Viewing devices
by resource, no irq conflicts and *nothing* on irq 12.

XP is so much fun to navigate using the keyboard...

It would appear that the "msmouse*" didn't get extracted during
the install. How does one go about adding this?

I can't seem to do it through controlpanel->addhw as there is
never an option for mouse/pointing device. It's like xp doesn't
know about a mouse/ps2 port.
