Its not the drivers. I have a similar problem and have
downloaded every update from Intel, nVidia, Leadtek
(graphics card), Gigabyte (motherboard). Nothing works
and this is on a fresh reformatted & reinstalled XP
Pro...

Even good -ol SP1 doesnt help.

Both motherboard BIOS and graphics card BIOS are up to
date and configured correctly.

Any suggestions?

Locate a Video Driver Hack utility on the web. (There's ton's out there)

XP locks in the Refreshrate and fps in games for some reason or another.
Also, make sure that you have the current drivers and limits for your PC
Monitor (This is Key!!!).

Sorry Hack means, card configurations that are not shipped or are available
in the Operating System. This is a notorious issue with NVIDIA cards.
