Help me please

I recently bought a computer with a dvd drive and a cd-
rw, the cd-rw works fine but when i try to run a cd-rom
in the dvd drive it wont play and when i try to access it
in explorer an error message apopears saying "plese
insert dis into drive E:" is my dvd drive broken or is it
not suposed to read cd-roms? someone please help me

Hello

Should read any cdrom is there a yellow mark next to it
under device manager, and if not maybe you could have a
defective dvd drive
