XP was recently installed on my computer. I was geeting
the message that my password was going to expire.
Yesterday I logged on OK, now I'm getting a message that
my username, domain or password is incorrect. Any idea
how to get past that w/out spending $35 to ask someone?

Control Panel | User Accounts will let you change your password.
I assume it's WinXP Pro.
Log on as Administrator.
Click Start | Control Panel | Performance and Maintenance | Administrative
Tools | Local Security Settings | Maximum password age.
Set it to how many days you want passwords to be valid. If you choose 0
they will never expire.

When you get a message saying your password will expire, its telling you
that for security reasons, your network administrator has set a limit upon
how long you may go without changing your password.
You may have then been asked to enter in your current password, then a new
password, and then to confirm a new password. I am guessing you entered the
current password to continue logging in but then left the new and confirm
fields empty. Windows will have then got the message that you want to set
your new password to nothing.
You could try logging into the computer with your normal username and a
blank password.
Otherwise you will have to talk to your network administrator to reset your
password.
