Hi, I just buit a new system (new MoBo, cpu, memory), and i have a 200 gig
HDD on XP Pro. My problem is, I don't want to or have time to backup all my
data to do a clean install and transfer my data over my new drive. So, I
know the best way to do this would be to re-format and do a clean install,
but is there a relatively painless way to take my current hard drive, and
put it in my new system with new hardware?

Penny;
Move the drive over.
A repair Installation will be necessary to properly detect the new
hardware:

Data should be safe, back-up important data just in case.
