Hello. I just upgraded from XP home to XP pro on my
laptop. I used to have an option under the POWER OPTIONS
so that when I close the lid on my laptop the laptop
would hybernate... now its not doing that, and when I
click on that drop down box, the only option avail is DO
NOTHING. Any ideas?

Make sure that Hibernate is enabled. In the Power Options dialog, click the
Hibernate tab and check it there.

Hi,
In addition to Ronnie's expert advice, if hibernation is unavailable, you
might want to update your video drivers. Hibernation gets disabled by
Windows of your video adapter does not support it. Updating video drivers
resolves the problem most of the times.
