View Full Version : Windows Updater
I have a process running on my PC that has an Image Name
of wupdater.exe. When I run McAfee Virus Scan, this is
identified as a potentially unwanted program. Is this
program part of the Window Update, or is this spyware or
adware?

Probably one of the later. Windows Update processes are named starting
with wua... so this one you're asking about is probably something named in
a similar manner to blend in. Why not run adaware or spybot and see what
they say about it. Or find it on the harddrive and see what it says in
it's properties under the version tab?
