Concatenating Video Files in WinXP

How do I concatenate video files in Windows XP, i.e. combining multiple
small video parts into one large one...video1.mpg + video2.mpg +
video3.mpg ==> videoTOTAL.mpg?

I'm interested in the following video formats: .avi, .asf, .mpg, .wmv.

try using Movie Maker. not sure it will handle the avi however.
