cd-rw not re writing

hi can somebody please help the problem is that my cd-rw
is not working properly it will read the cd and even let
me put it on hard drive but it will not let me re write
anything. it is a samsung cdrw/dvd sm332b 30x max write
12x max dvd play combo drive.
