View Full Version : Cannot delete files

I have two folders, OP8RSBUD & OVELAN6J. Each contains a file of 0 KB,
"search[1]."
'Cannot delete file, cannot read from the source file or disk.'
If I try to rename the files I get the same message.
I encountered no problem moving the folders themselves from their original
location to My Docs for the time being, but how can I remove these files so
that I can delete the folders?

Try booting up in safe mode and deleting the files. When you see your
computer begin to display the list of hardware before showing the windows
logo or boot menu, start pressing F8 untill it presents a menu of boot
options. Select safe mode and then choose windows xp. Boot up and try
deleting the files.
