Is there a registry setting that we can use to keep msn
messenger from staying open when the close button is
selected? When someone clicks the 'x' to close it, I'd
like Messenger to exit and not stay loaded in the systray

Greetings Dave,

Unfortunately this capability was removed in MSN Messenger starting with version 6, so
unfortunately no.
