memory error msge

when i shut down some of my applications an error msge
window pops up displaying the following txt. THE
INSTRUCTION AT "0x1c001516" REFERENCED MEMORY
AT "0x00af0010" THE MEMORY COULD NOT BE "READ"
any ideas would be welcome.

I got the same message while I was running AVG virus software. Have you found a solution to your problem? Mike

Obvious hardware fault.
