I have a peculiar problem. When I insert a DVD into my computer for the first time after a windows has been rebooted, there is a blue screen windows crash, and the system reboots. After this reboot, the DVD, which remained in the drive, plays without a pro
blem. I can also remove that DVD and insert and play any others that I wish without problem until the computer is rebooted again. When I report the problem, Microsoft's website says it is a driver problem. I have a DVD drive and a DVD-RW drive and the prob
lem occurs with both drives. I am using Cyberlink Power DVD version 5. I have emailed their support people and I get back a canned response. I have played with the drive settings so that they are set to open a DVD with Power DVD on insertion of a DVD or se
t to do nothing. I have tried having Power DVD set as the default program for DVD files or not. None of these things seem to effect the problem. This is mainly an anoyance since everything works after a reboot, but I would like to solve this problem. Any s
uggestions would be appreciated.
