i cannot find a download for USB 2.0 driver for Windows
XP i have been on microsoft.com but cannot find it
anywhere can anyone help me. I can only use my scan
button and nothing else i have installed the adaptec into
my computer for faster response from scanner but i was
told to contact www.microsoft.com for download support
and i cannot find it HELP

Do you have Windows XP Service Pack 1 installed? USB 2.0 is not
supported by XP unless SP 1 is installed. One installed, update the
USB drivers from Device Manager and the USB 2.0 drivers should load.

Drivers appear to be on

Look on left for 'download software' then 'scanners' and you'll end up with
a list of scanners.

The USB 2.0 driver for the controller should come with the PCI card if you
have installed a separate PCI card or with the motherboard (check the
motherboard manufacturer's website if it is attached to the motherboard.
You can also use XP SP1 which includes the updated drivers.

This will not, of course, turn a USB 1.1 port into a 2.0 port. That can
only be done by changing the actual hardware.
