problem 817589

My TV tuner softwear freezes whenever I use it for more
than a few minutes. I am running a P4 2.6 Ghz processor
with HT technology. I believe that the processor is
causing the problem. I found the exact problem in the
knowledge base # 817589 but I cannot find a solution.
What should I do? Thanks in advance.

What TV tuner do you use Sy???

And what motherboard? If the CPU is 800 mhz
and that motherboard supports Hyperthreading.

And the tuner is a Leadtek TV2000 deluxe,
update the drivers for the tuner then the program.

Remember to uninstall the version of the tuner
program first before you install the latest version

I'm using the Leadtek tuner at the mo, and it
froze the whole system, until I got the latest version
of the driver and the program. It was because of HT.
